💫Adoption Opportunity💫 . Say hello to Soloman. Soloman is the sweetest boy with SOOOO much love to give. Soloman came to us when a Good Samaritan in Elk Grove made a Facebook post about two cats who were recently abandoned with fresh ear tips and shaved surgical sites. The two were part of a Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) program and we’re left in an unfamiliar apartment complex. The two were huddled together crying because they had no idea where they were! It was quite a sad sight! With the nights turning colder it was especially saddening. We contacted the wonderful lady who’d posted them on Facebook. We made arrangements to pick them up and sadly the female had disappeared. We think someone took her perhaps as a pet but left the brother behind which was makes the story even WORSE!! This boy was instantly at home and loving, purring all the way to his foster home. What a resilient boy. California TNR programs now require rabies vaccines and the ones in Sacramento County are also given an FVRCP core vaccine. We went ahead and gave another FVRCP as a booster approximately three weeks after they were abandoned for the best chance at immunity. Soloman gets along well with others and is very outgoing. If you can give Soloman the security and love he needs and an indoor only life for his safety and health, please submit an application today!! . #secondchancekitty #tnrgonewrong #goodsamsrock #tuxedocat #tippedear #badgeofhonor #thursdayvibes #petsmart #lodicalifornia #comemeetsoloman #indooronlycat 📸 credit to @madison.lane_20 🥰
We’d like you to meet a special little soul we’ve named Weber. This little fella was sitting outside a fast food restaurant in Stockton beneath a sign (not pictured) that says not to feed stray cats... We tried to coax him to us but he kept his distance. We tried to toss him part of our burger, but it made him move further away. We went back to the car to see if he’d come back when a woman drove up and parked near us. She opened the hatch of her SUV to retrieve cat food. We asked if she was the caretaker and she said she was and proceeded to tell us about this little guy. He was dumped there about a year ago. He looked nothing like this then she said. He was fresh and clean, now tired and dirty. His ears used to be perfect now one is damaged from ongoing ear mite infestation. His nose used to be clean and clear, now stuffy and dirty from an untreated upper respiratory infection. His fur now dirty and sparse from grease, fleas and dirt. We asked if she could pet him and she said yes and that he was friendly. We wondered if he would be a candidate for adoption and she agreed he would. We exchanged numbers and told her we’d be in touch if we could find a quarantine foster for him. Two days later we contacted her and arranged to remove him from his home in the parking lot. When we arrived, we saw the caretaker looking up into a tree... she told us a woman with a loose dog had just come through and her dog almost got Weber, but that he’d climbed the tree just in time. Weber came down and we placed him in the kennel with little resistance and took him in for testing of FeLV/FIV testing; he was negative.!! Thankfully, one of our empty fosters came to his aid for his quarantine period. He thriving and so so happy! His foster mom says he is happy, happy, happy! She picks him up and puts him on her lap. She puts him on his back and pet da belleh. He gets down and throws himself on the floor to get his belleh done again. When he invites her to pet him, he sits in front of her and raises his paw and freezes until she pets again. Such a love bug! In the last picture you can see his cute little raised paw 🐾.
