Heaven gained an angel 😇 . It’s been several days now since we had a heartbreak. It all began about three months ago when three sweet sisters were adopted by a lovely kind woman, our sweet Coco and her two sisters, Zelda and Hadley. Their adopter initially was going to adopt two of the sisters, Zelda and Hadley. When their adopter learned that little Coco was born with a visual impairment, she thought she should keep all the sisters together. Just three short months later, sweet Coco passed away from a congenital heart defect. Her condition was first discovered when we’d taken the girls to their spay appointment. The doctor at the Sacramento SPCA discovered Coco had a severe heart murmur. They informed us going forward with her surgery could be life ending and suggested we seek a cardiac consultation. We followed their advice and made a cardiologist appointment at UC Davis. The cardiologist confirmed the heart defect, and gave the grim prognosis for Coco. They said she could have weeks to months left, and eventually she would develop a list of symptoms which would indicate the time for humane euthanasia. But until that time, there wasn’t any reason Coco couldn’t continue to live her happy life. One month to the day we received the news, Coco passed during the night. Her sweet mama was so sad to find her Coco gone in the morning, but we know she had the best life possible. Always safe and warm, fed, loved by her adoptive mama and surrounded by her sisters. Rest In Peace Sweet Coco, you always were an angel 😇 and a blessing 🙏. Thank you Lynn for accepting Coco as she was and loving her the way you did, you are a blessing as well ♥️.
🌟Adoption Opportunity🌟 . Say hello to Amalia!! Amalia made her way to us unexpectedly! A friend of ours attends Delta College several days a week. She was leaving campus one evening and happened upon a suspiciously parked car in the corner of the lot. She observed a man in the driver seat and a woman in the bushes. The man was overheard telling her to “hurry up”. Our Good Samaritan Friend approached them and asked what they were doing. The woman appeared somewhat ashamed as she stated “I need to get rid of them”. The Good Sam told her she can’t dump animals like that and ended up taking the two adult females home with her… one looked as though she was pregnant or recently had delivered kittens. She took the two confused girls home. She called us and asked if we would help. The next day she went to school and didn’t see the people who abandoned them… when our friend returned to her truck later that evening after class, she discovered a small box in the bed. When she opened the box and looked into it… guess what it was…yep! Kittens! Six!!! Two were older and four younger… She could not believe this!!! Nor could we! She brought them all home and realized the youngest kittens looked similar to the Calico adult who had appeared to have recently given birth. She placed the youngest kittens with the Calico and they instantly connected. She called us to bring us up to speed…we couldn’t believe this either! Later that night she went into the garage to get some ice cream out of the freezer. Her truck was parked in the garage next to the freezer. As she entered the garage she immediately heard something faint… she heard the tiny cries of kittens! She started looking around and in a corner of her truck under a tarp was ANOTHER box of kittens, 3 more!!! This time they were all black newborns, a few days at most. These looked to belong to the other cat they rescued. A total of 11 cats came of this fiasco!! The kittens all grew, thrived and are ready for their forever homes! Amalia is such a special sweet girl, she loves attention as well as giving it. She enjoys spending time with her people and a sweet late night study buddy.
🌟Adoption Alert🌟 . February 2, 2019, Five!! Five babes found their homes! Lyvia (top left), Ivy (top right), Ginny (bottom left), Frances (bottom center), and Raven (bottom right)! We’re truly blessed with our adopters!
🥰Ezra is back!🥰 . He was adopted in January, but it didn’t work out. He was very fearful and hiding behind the washing machine... the adopters were afraid of him cause he hissed at them and tried to bite them they said. We think he’s just scared. Went and picked him up yesterday. He’s doing amazing. Love this special boy!
