🌟Adoption Opportunity🌟 . Say hello to our sweet Saylor. Saylor has been with us for some time and she is now ready to find her way to a very special home. Saylor was found in the yard of a Good Samaritan’s mother’s home. The young man went to Facebook with her because she was so skinny and one of her eyes was ruptured... he didn’t know what to do with her and was seeking advice. We promptly came to her rescue and took her to our veterinarian immediately. Overall she seemed healthy just undernourished and low to no vision in one eye and needed her other eye removed. Saylor is special needs in that she is blind and unsure of her surroundings. She will need a quiet home with either no pets or with pets; however, no alpha female felines as she tends to get bullied by them. Saylor enjoys having her head and under her chin scratched and enjoys playing with noisy toys that she can hear and interact with. We have never heard Saylor purr. Saylor is now ready for adoption and we would consider a foster to adopt situation to ensure she is a good fit in the right circumstances. She is about 4/5 months old now and is a sweet unusual girl, she can be a little fussy at times when her back is scratched and may merely be overstimulation or hypersensitivity. . All Second Chance Kitty cats are free fed a quality dry food with low or no grain and are STRICTLY INDOOR ONLY. Studies have proven cats live longer, healthier lives and on average require less financial burdens at veterinary offices when they are kept indoor only. There are so many predators out there, both human and animal and it is sadly unsafe to let them roam unattended. . All of our babes come altered, microchipped, vaccinated, rabies (if age appropriate), FeLV/FIV negative, dewormed, flea treated, litter box trained and full of love. Interested parties may submit an application on our website at www.secondchancekitty.org or email us at email@example.com.
🌟PENNY UPDATE🌟 . First of all, a ginormous thank you to everyone who came to Penny’s rescue! We surpassed our goal for Penny in less than 24 hours! MIND BLOWN! The remainder will be used for Penny’s future appointments and treatments. You all are so generous and we are truly blessed to have your amazing support so we can continue to help these deserving beings have their second chance. Please know we are so grateful and appreciative of our supporters. 💙 . Penny’s CT scan today went well and she tolerated the anesthesia and procedure well. Several additional radiographs were also taken today; at the conclusion of these diagnostics it was determined no injury occurred. It is believed Penny either has a congenital abnormality and/or a bone infection. On both sides of Penny’s jaw, the bones connecting the jaw to the skull are misshapen, which indicates abnormalities rather than trauma. After a thorough review, Dr. Frey determined there were no breaks, fractures or dislocations which would require his expertise. He discussed his findings with Dr. Jones of Harris Veterinary Hospital where we will follow up next week. We did a telephone consult this evening with Dr. Jones’ office and he wants to continue her antibiotics and may prescribe a second course. We will see Dr. Jones at the beginning of next week to discuss a possible antibiotic change and treatment options if any. . Again, please accept our sincerest thank you for your donations, prayers, good vibes and positive thoughts. We’ll continue to update regarding Penny. Any further donations submitted on her behalf will go towards helping another sweet soul if she no longer has a need. ✨God bless you all.
UPDATE 🌟NO FURTHER FUNDS ARE NEEDED THANK YOU THANK YOU. UPDATE FORTHCOMING🌟 . 🆘 Assistance Needed 🆘 Meet Penny. Penny is a sweet little gal who was found under a car, wet and cold crying in 30 degree weather a little over a week ago by a Good Samaritan who reached out to us for help. Penny’s mouth doesn’t close properly and 95% of the time it remains open. Eating is challenging, but we mix a slurry for her to make it easier. She’s gained almost a pound since we’ve had her. We imagine living on the streets did not afford her the ability to eat much. She was 2.3 lbs upon intake and now is close to 3 lbs!! She’s been to a few different doctors and had her x-rays read by many. All have deferred to a specialist. We’ve consulted with Dr. Frey and she will be receiving a CT scan tomorrow morning to determine if this is a condition that can be corrected. We happily accept donations for Penny. Her care through tomorrow is $1275. We know it’s a lot, but if it’s correctable doesn’t she deserve a second chance at a quality life? We think so... please donate if you’re able and share our girl 💙 link to donate is in bio for PayPal; Venmo is @SecondChance-Kitty
